Employees of the University of Amsterdam can apply for support for a heritage project grant, a research project grant and a general project grant thanks to the donations from our contributors.
Staff

AUF Startstipendium 2025

Each year eight early career academic talents of the Research Institutes of Amsterdam UMC and one education professional with the Medical Faculty of the University of Amsterdam are selected to receive an AUF Startstipendium of €25.000 per project. The grants are provided by the Spinoza Fund managed by the Amsterdam University Fund. Read more about the Startstipendium. 

AUF Impact Call 2025

Our Impact Call awards support ambitious plans for education innovations and groundbreaking research with the potential for societal impact. Each year € 200.000 is made available for 8 projects that will each be awarded with a grant of € 25.000. The 2025 application round will open September 2025. Read more about the 2024 winners. 

Research project grant

This grant is intended to fund part of a research or other science project.

Heritage project grant

This grant can be used to request support for projects in the area of heritage or the opening up of collections.

General project grant

This grant is intended to finance other projects.
